The Viet Cong was the Vietnamese army who fought the United States and South Vietnam but supported North Vietnam. They were originated as Viet Minh and became Vietnam Fatherland Front. In late 1950s to 1975, they fought with South Vietnam and other Anti-Communist countries. Viet Cong were communist army and they became in 1960 the military army of the National Liberation Front (NLF). PLAF Commander, COSVN Party Secretary, NLF and PRG were the leaders of the Viet Cong.
